Our classes are for women who aren’t ready to slow down – you will work hard. You will feel it the next day. And you will get results!
The Teddi B Workout, not only the name of our studio but also of our signature class, has a bit of everything to help you get in the best shape possible and give you that lean, strong feminine physique you want.
Every class works your entire body, but has an emphasis on a different body part/area.
Classes last 50 minutes, although we do offer slightly shorter classes mid-day so our lunch crowd can make it back to work.
If you put in the effort, you will look and feel great.

Who is behind the Teddi B Workout?
The Teddi B Workout is based on decades of experience by Teddi Bryant. Teddi founded and ran Hot Mamas Exercise for 20 years before transitioning to Teddi B Workout to reflect her transition to specializing in women her own age – middle age +. Teddi has taken everything that has worked for her clients, that have helped hundreds of women look and feel great, and customized it for the challenges of our bodies as we age.
We say it over an over on this site … Teddi’s workouts are always challenging so don’t think this is for women being put out to pasture. This is for women that refuse to act their age!
Do I need to be in great shape?
Nope. You just need to show up and do the work. Teddi and her teachers can show you any necessary modifications and you will still feel pushed in just the right ways without feeling like you’re holding anyone back. Good news is you’ll be feeling stronger and more capable in a very short amount of time.
What do you mean by the right level of cardio for our age?
Interestingly enough, as we age there is a point where cardio and a rising heart rate can actually have a diminishing return when it comes to getting in shape.
As we hit 40 and beyond, the way our bodies deal with stress changes. Our so-called fight or flight response kicks in much quicker, resulting in a spike in cortisol levels. This can be good in short spurts (such as an emergency situation), but has negative consequences if high for long periods of time. This leads to:
- Leptin resistance, which causes increased cravings, especially for comfort foods
- Insulin resistance, which makes it harder to lose weight, especially from around the middle
- Thyroid deregulation, leading to a slower metabolism
That certainly doesn’t mean we won’t get your heart rate going – just at the right level. We’ve never heard anyone say our workouts were too easy!!!
What’s wrong with classes offered in other gyms??
In general, nothing, except most are designed to just work your body hard with no regard for your age nor sex. We agree with working hard, but here’s what we do differently. We reduce plyometric moves that are harmful to your joints, we keep your heart rate in an optimal range for 40 year old plus, and we work your body in a prescribed manner, one that has been proven for 20 years, that gets results. It’s worth repeating – our classes aren’t easy and definitely aren’t for women who have given up.
Do you have a variety of classes and teachers?
Absolutely. First, we have the greatest teachers. All are highly experienced, educated, certified and have extensive training by Teddi B. They are all passionate about giving you the best and most enjoyable workout possible in the safest manner. We’ve taken classes all our lives and know how important attentive, fun and personable teachers are – that’s what you’ll find. Meet our teachers here.
As for classes, we have a variety, all based on Teddi’s proven methodology. We push The Teddi B Workout class first and foremost as it gives a complete body workout, but we also have other complementary classes for extra workouts or on your off days. Whatever class you take, do so at least 3x a week and you’ll love the results!
And remember, monthly members, you can add an online class or two to your schedule if you can’t make it to the studio. And our online subscribers, you can workout at any time, any day, any where … so no excuses! 😀
How do you give me a great workout and protect my body?
We don’t do unnecessary moves just in the name of an ass kicking (although we will kick it!). We do little to zero jumping and really focus on the right sequencing to make sure your muscles are ready to be worked and without injury. Even minus the plyometrics and gratuitous stressful exercises, you will feel worked – but not in pain and will actually feel amazing when you’re finished.
How can I access classes on line?
We utilize Vimeo, widely considered the best video host, so you can access our streaming and on demand classes in reliable HD. You can can use our HMtv portal online and watch on your computer, tablet or phone, stream from any of those devices to your tv, or also use our iPhone and Android app.
Do you offer many classes online?
In addition to streaming most every studio class, we also have hundreds and hundreds of classes available for you on demand. All your favorite teachers and classes. Even some older classes for those of you that are nostalgic.

Can I access classes when I’m not connected to the internet?
If you are using our iOS or Android app you can definitely download videos to watch while offline and can continue to do so as long as you have a subscription.
